Community Banking Connections Promo: Cyber Resources for Bankers

Cybersecurity is essential for protecting banks’ assets from potential threats. Supervisors and bankers view cybersecurity as a high priority because cybersecurity threats are constantly evolving.1 To connect bankers to existing cybersecurity resources, the Federal Reserve System has developed a resource document — Cybersecurity Resources for Community Banks.2 Although the document is geared toward community bankers, regional bankers may also find it useful.

Cybersecurity Resources for Community Banks is a compilation of publicly available cybersecurity content and includes links to:

  • information sources;
  • cybersecurity self-assessment tools;
  • supervision and regulation (SR) letters;3
  • other materials produced by the Federal Reserve; and
  • law enforcement contact information.

Federal Reserve System staff intend to periodically update the Cybersecurity Resources for Community Banks document, which is available on the supervision outreach web page.4 As a quick reference guide, staff have also developed a printable trifold version5 that distills the key content from the resource document.
